For all currently available STEPPERONLINE drivers equipped with an RS232 port, the port is designed exclusively for use with our dedicated configuration software. This software allows you to adjust driver parameters such as output current, alarm settings, and control loop gain. The RS232 port is not designed or supported for general-purpose serial communication.
If you are looking to control the driver via the RS232 port using custom tools such as Python, please note that the RS232 communication protocol is not publicly available. It is reserved for use with our proprietary configuration software to ensure driver stability and reliability.
