StepperOnline's currently available closed-loop drives are divided into the T Series and Y Series. The complete list of models is as follows:
T Series:
- CL42T-V41
- CL57T-V41
- CL86T-V41
- CL57RS
- CL86RS
Y Series:
- CL42Y-V20
- CL57Y
- CL57Y-V20
- CL86Y
- CL86Y-V20
- CL57EC
- CL86EC
- CL57PR
To ensure compatibility with mainstream encoder resolutions, the default resolution supported by both series is 1000 PPR (4000 CPR).
If your encoder has a resolution such as 1024 PPR (4096 CPR), 512 PPR (2048 CPR), or another non-default value, no custom drive is required. To accommodate a wider range of encoder resolutions, these drives support user-configurable encoder settings. The configuration software for each drive includes a feature to customize the encoder resolution. You can download the respective drive software and modify the resolution as needed, as shown in the examples below:

The above shows the configuration steps for the T Series closed-loop drives.

The above shows the configuration steps for the Y Series closed-loop drives.
If you prefer not to make the change yourself, please leave a note with your required encoder resolution during purchase, and we will configure it for you.
We recommend setting the encoder resolution between 500 PPR and 4000 PPR (2000 CPR to 16000 CPR). Resolutions outside this range may cause unstable motor performance or drive faults. Please also note that these drives are only compatible with rotary encoders that output differential signals (e.g., RS422 line driver). They are not compatible with single-ended (open-collector or push-pull) encoders or linear encoders.
