Among the stepper drives currently offered by StepperOnline, the following models support the Modbus protocol:
- T Series: DM556RS, DM882RS, CL57RS, CL86RS
- Y Series: DM420PR, DM556PR, DM860PR, CL57PR
All eight of these drives can be controlled via Modbus RS485 communication. However, the specific protocol supported is strictly Modbus RTU.
If your application requires Modbus TCP instead of RTU, please note that we currently have no plans to develop native Modbus TCP drives. We recommend using a smart Ethernet gateway to convert Modbus RTU to Modbus TCP, which is a common and practical industry solution.
