When a driver experiences a fault such as overvoltage or overcurrent, it automatically stops operating and the motor comes to a halt. The driver's red LED may flash or remain steadily lit. To clear the driver alarm state, the following methods can be used (excluding fault troubleshooting):
1. T-Series Open/Closed-Loop Drivers, RS-Series Open/Closed-Loop Drivers, AI-Series Open-Loop Drivers, etc.
For these drivers, all alarm faults can only be cleared by power cycling the driver, with one exception: the "position error (red LED flashing 7 times)" fault, which can be cleared by disabling the driver (ENA).
2. Y-Series Open/Closed-Loop Drivers
Different types of faults in this driver series can be cleared using different methods. Please refer to the table below for details:
| Fault Code | Fault Description | Alarm Indication | Reset Method |
|---|---|---|---|
| Err1: 0x01 | Overcurrent or phase-to-phase short circuit | Blinking once continuously | Disable (ENA) / Power cycle |
| Err2: 0x02 | High power supply voltage | Blinking twice continuously | Motor locked / Auto-recovers when voltage returns to normal |
| Err3: 0x03 | Low power supply voltage | Blinking three times continuously | Disable (ENA) / Auto-recovers when voltage returns to normal |
| Err5: 0x05 | Position deviation exceeds limit | Blinking five times continuously | Disable (ENA) / Power cycle or clear the deviation alarm |
| Err4: 0x04 | Brake abnormality | Blinking four times continuously | 1. Check the brake wiring. 2. Check if the load exceeds the rated capacity. 3. Power cycle the driver. |
3. DBLS/BLD Series Brushless Drivers
When a brushless driver triggers an alarm, the alarm can only be cleared by resetting the enable terminal (i.e., disconnecting EN from GND) or by power cycling the driver.
